"..The latest installment set to music by Sylvain Carel, draws its inspiration from an episode of ancient Carthage, two and a half centuries BC, the time of Hamilcar and his daughter Salammbo, priestess of Tanit.
The lunar deity, protective revered for its beauty and enriching power brand presence this film and flamboyant hymn. It's an epic envelope, combined with contemporary philharmonic approach that deploys an astonishing duality moods and melodies.
The subtle orchestration, imbued with a mystical and strange poetry,
gives the whole album a depth and a romantic flavor to the stunning charm.
The instrumentation is rich and refined, gives the music this bright and dramatic nature imposed by the story. The care given to the choice and use of instruments confirms this rendering and design clarity that are characteristic of the composer, like his previous albums 'Caravansary' and the amazing 'Heritage', published in 2015.

"Le dernier opus mis en musique par Sylvain Carel, puise son inspiration dans un épisode de l'antique Carthage, deux siècles et demi avant notre ère, au temps d'Hamilcar et de sa fille Salammbo, prêtresse de Tanit. La divinité lunaire, protectrice vénérée pour sa beauté et son pouvoir enrichissant, marque de sa présence cet hymne cinématographique et flamboyant. C'est dans une enveloppe épique, conjuguée à une approche philarmonique contemporaine, que se déploie une étonnante dualité des ambiances et des mélodies.
